Just when you thought you had a grip on Massachusetts’s health care requirements, they have to go and shake everything up! Effective July 1, 2013 (also known as last month) several large health care requirements have been repealed. What got the axe? The requirement that employees with at least 11 full-time employees pay an assessment per employee or meet group heath insurance requirements for one thing! Until the new provisions go into place in January of 2015 Massachusetts employers are not subject to state or federal penalties for not supplying health insurance. Make up your minds people! Sheesh.
