Texas – Negligent hiring: new employer protections

In new legislation passed this summer, employers who hire employees with criminal convictions now have greater protection from negligent hiring charges. The bottom line: Employers are less liable just because they hired a person with a rap sheet. This is good news for Friday Night Lights’ season-five, post-prison Tim Riggins—I bet a lot more people will hire him now!
