Bullying: from the playground to the workplace

There are already laws that aim to keep the workplace free of discrimination, harassment, and physical violence, but employment law experts predict that soon state legislatures will strive to make the office free from bullying. While bullying at schools has been getting a lot of media attention lately, more than a dozen states have started considering anti-bullying laws, which would aim to prevent an “abusive work-environment.” A recent survey found that 56% of companies have some kind of anti-bullying policy in their handbooks.
