Many employees aren’t too familiar with their rights under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Luckily, someone wrote an article entitled, “15 Things You Need to Know About Disability Discrimination.”
As you may know, we at ACCR have a firm belief in the ability of numbered lists to clarify any topic – and this article is no exception. In it, you’ll find clear explanations of employee rights under the ADA, with information such as:
- the ailment doesn’t have to be permanent to be an ADA covered disability
- only employers with 15 or more employees are bound by the ADA
- if your employer acknowledges you are disabled, you’re protected from discrimination
- if you currently use illegal drugs, you are not covered under the ADA as an addict.
My razor sharp math skills are telling me there are still 11 things you need to know about the ADA. Click here to find them.
