Iowa’s new concealed weapons law has kept the Polk Country sheriff’s office busy. According to the Des Moines Register, the sheriff’s office typically receives 300 applications for gun permits in a month, but last Monday, the first day in which people could apply under the more relaxed rules, more than 300 applications were received in a single day.
