In the past, it’s been almost taboo to admit in an interview that you are motivated by money. But why? What happened to honesty being the best policy?
According to TLNT, money being a key motivator is not necessarily a bad thing. In fact, there really isn’t anything wrong with it. They list 3 key reasons why money as a motivator shouldn’t be an automatic no hire:
- Money and morals are not mutually exclusive - Glengarry Glenn Ross is not real.
- Money and pay should never be taboo – honesty really is the best policy.
- Money is one thing you do control – repeat, money is one thing you do control.
