You’ve been WARN-ed

What’s in a name? If you ask my male friend, Stacey, it’s a lot of confusion and jokes growing up. Fortunately, unlike Stacy’s parents, the United States Department of Labor actually named one of their statutes appropriately and even shortened it up for you. The WARN Act, The Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act, was created to make sure employees are provided a (everybody say it with me) WARNing when layoffs are coming.
